Medieval cross-cultural relations

Wednesday June 3, 2009 7.30 pm

Bata Shoe Museum

The intricate dynamics of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim cross-cultural relations during the Middle Ages will be the topic at this Salon. Our guest is Alexandra Guerson, PhD in History from University of Toronto, a specialist in Medieval Europe.

On June 5th, Soundstreams will present the world premiere of The Children's Crusade a new opera by Governor General's Award winner R. Murray Schafer. The Children's Crusade is a co-commission between Soundstreams and Luminato and is based on a 13th century tale of children who wanted to save the world with a crusade of love and peace. The Children's Crusade is directed by Tim Albery, and features over 100 performers and musicians. For more details visit our website.
